About the event
We are excited to announce that Dr Swee Ang, Founder of Medical Aid For Palestinians, will be our key speaker!
Dr Swee, studied medicine at the then-University of Singapore and went to war-torn Lebanon to treat the wounded in 1982 when Israel invaded the country. Dr Swee, an Orthopaedic surgeon, has treated thousands of war casualties in Lebanon as well as the occupied territories of Gaza and the West Bank over the past four decades.

"There were tens of thousands marching this day and it ended with a rally outside the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation), with a whole lot of speeches. When I started to speak the police abruptly threatened section 14 to close down the rally and disperse everyone. I had just said the Palestinians had suffered and died for their rights for 76 years and we will stand with them even if it takes another 76 years. Obviously the police high command did not like what I said." Dr Swee Ang.
