About the event
Gaza City Municipality wants to work to create a sister city with Arcata and they are working to make meaningful connections with our community despite the severe security and humanitarian situation presently faced. When they heard about Student Activism Week they proposed providing students from Gaza City on video link to further connect our communities. They said these are vital weeks for Gaza City as Israeli ground forces are closing in on the population centers and targeting any symbols and activities that give hope to Palestinians to remain on their land.
